Michael is the product and operations manager at Tiremender and we're going to be talking about this disease called TPMS today. That's what we're going to talk about tire pressure monitoring systems and why each and every one of us should have that product in our RVs. Now Jamie here. Now, michael, as Dan said, you are one of us, an RVer, that is, tell us about your RV journey. I'd like our listeners to get to know you.

So it's been about, I would say, almost seven years working in the RV industry before taking the first step into renting and seeing if this is something that I can actually do. There's a lot of into RVing and we all know that. Listening, I'm sure, but getting to do it and going to places that you normally wouldn't, that you can only do in an RV, and experience what you can only do in an RV, there was something that I really loved. But again, working in the industry and knowing the people that are in it, that's what really made it worthwhile.

That's cool. It is cool when you hear people and hear their journey of the RV lifestyle. Now, Jamie, you are getting ready to get out on the road with your four-year-old son. Tell us about this idea of your RV life.

So I am currently helping and taking the four-year-old out and speaking about nature. It's someone that rents a home.

I'm very driven to find a way to take an out camp while we're in a home. So I want to go full-time, getting to be living in the capital of what makes our RVs and I get to go and see all of these RVs we've made. It's a great thing. I get to see them, how they're made, I get to know the people there and then, coming to shows like this, I get to have the meeting with the community and it's amazing to see all the kids that are out there and something I want my own to help me in yeah, it's awesome.

Okay, Michael, let's talk a little bit about your job of director of product and operations manager. So I am the product manager. Is this work?

Yeah, it's good.

All right, thanks. So I am the product and operations manager at TireMinder, so I developed the products the one that you see in front of us that I developed, coded and presented and sold in the aftermarket, too. Looks like it Now. You also, I think, were instrumental in putting a Bluetooth part of this together, so I can see it on my phone too. Correct, so you have it on your phone. You can do it on Apple CarPlay If you have a CarPlay compatible device. Android Auto is coming later in February, so that way you get audio alerts. So what I mean by audio is you have AI voice alerts. If whether it's a low pressure, high pressure, high temperature or leaking, you'll get that right on your speaker system, well, that is incredible.

Now, does being an R-beer help you develop the product? Do you think that because you have an R-beer, because you're out there on the road, because you're discussing and swearing while you're parking in a campground trying to back in and hitting a trash can or two on the way, do you think those experiences have helped you develop a better product? So the biggest part is how does it look? What are you viewing and what makes it easier? And, dan, absolutely, absolutely Okay.

So we did jump in and start talking about TireMinder. That is what we're talking about today. But I have to talk first and we are going to jump in for our listeners and cover all of this. So first we have to talk about our Jeep and our literally $1,300 truck. Could we talk about that? It was embarrassing, but we really were able to help people. So let's say what happened. We helped our Jeep up. We had had our previous to the Jeep. That was all set up to tow. We got the Jeep. A lot of research on what to do to hook the Jeep up properly. We did it a couple of times and everything was fine. Well, this time, hook up. The Jeep went through the safety checks, everything seemed fine. We drove I don't know how far, but we drove far enough when we got to our location that we had burned out all four tires. I'm talking to the metal things whatever those things are called that you don't want to rub your head.

They're called the steel belts, that thing.

So literally $1,300 later. And I know, jamie, when we spoke I said, hey, would this product TireMinder have helped us to know what was going on and avoided that for us? So could you speak about that, or do you want to give it to Michael? That's fine.

So, yeah, that's going to be something that we really want to thrive on. It's going to give you that piece of mind You've gone through all the proper ways to check your things and put on everything and accidents happen, tickers happen, and there's just road hazard out there, and those are things that you can't be prepared for by having a system in place like that. That's going to give you that piece of mind that we're driving for us, so that once you're driving down the road, you don't have to wash up your systems in place and you're getting that in place to go to your home.

I'm going to bag type bag pipe handle from buying a Miner yes, right on cue every day. Now you know we talked about blowouts, entire failures and all of that kind of stuff and we've talked about the fact that this makes me better. Now I have been wanting to put this on my rate for a while and you have so graciously offered and been volunteer to come over to our rig and help us put it on. I think I can do all the installations, the programming a little bit, a little bit, but it looked very, very easy. I mean so easy. Even Todd from Switch it Up can do it and he did it all by himself.

He made a video on it. We'll put a link to that video in the show notes below. But you're going to come over and we're going to make a video now. We have done it yet because we are in Florida and the weather is beautiful in Florida for 350 days a year. The other 50 days of the days that I'm in Florida and it's cold and raining and windy here, yes, so as soon as we get a little bit of weather break here, we're going to get you to come over and crawl underneath our coach and install all that kind of stuff.

But I don't think anybody needs to crawl right, so can we just for our listeners? I think we kind of went backwards here. Can you talk through one of you, talk through the setup of the system, because for one I understand it's very simple Talk about tire minder, what it is, what it does, and then we can talk about the system, so that you know people sitting here we were talking about tire minder, we have the box sitting here, but can you go back and tell people what it is and what it does?

Sure, absolutely so. Any tire minder system every six seconds it's going to check for a tire issue, and that could be a low pressure, high pressure, a slow leak, rapid leak and high temperature. But to program it? So I have it in my hand here Now, open this up. So it's very, very simple. So all you're going to do is press and hold the left and right buttons, and so you get to where it says learn, so you can see learn right there. And then, once you're at the position that you'd like to be at, OK, you can keep going.

I just wanted to let our listeners know he's holding in his hand what looks like a unit that's bigger than an iPhone. It's easy to see Forget about his classes and he's talking about the setup of it. So, and the instructions are there for people who can't see these step-by-step instructions. But so you're looking at the little monitor itself and how to set it up.

Yeah, so, right on the screen, once you're in learn mode, you're going to go using both right or left buttons and navigate to the tire that you want to add and then, once you're at that tire position, you're going to screw a transmitter onto that forest body tire. As soon as you screw it on, you're going to get a pressure reading. That's how you know that it's locked in. And then you'll just continue that until all the tires For example, patty, I believe you have 10 tires in total Very good, that's right.

So you'd have six on the motorhome and four on the tow vehicle, and then, using the right or left buttons again, you just navigate to the position you want to add and screw it on. Once you're done, you can set the baseline, which is your cold tire pressure that you have in the morning, and once that is set, it is complete. Every single kit also includes a signal booster, and then that booster is just attached right to the positive negative terminals of the battery. You can absolutely hard wire it and your installation is complete. Now, on that booster, it only pulls 14 milliamps while inactive and 75 milliamps when it is sending a signal. So it's very low power drop, meaning that you can keep it always installed without worrying about draining your batteries.

OK, that's a big thing for us our batteries not draining our batteries. Now you're talking about screwing on and there's a little piece it's about the size of your thumb. It's smaller than the size of your thumb and you just go out there and screw this on to the cap, you unscrew the cap and you screw this on, and that I mean anybody could do this. It's that simple. I just went for our listeners to be able to visualize Exactly so.

Our TireMiter transmitters replace the valve cap and then there is a small transmitter that has TPMS sensors. There is a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor built into the device and it simply replaces the cap. And inside the cap there is a battery, and that battery is replaceable and you just take it out and push it right back in underneath the battery bracket. Now we have multiple different types of sensors available. We have flow through your standard and we also have internals as well.

I see, we have live again, jance, and we are live and we have speakers here so the audience can hear and of course, we're all feeding back. But again, everything that Michael's talking about how to set up your tire pressure monitoring system there's a booklet there and it is simple. I have talked to people done it. Dan and I were ready to do it ourselves, except, like he said, for the weather, so I'm not concerned about getting it set up. We want Jamie to come out and set it up so we can do a video just for fun of it. So we'll show you how easy it is to set that up. And you said there are different types and where can people go. Obviously we want to send people. Where can they go to find the tire binder system?

Again, we're online or they can go to any of our dealerships that we partner with. They are available. Michael, can you tell us a little bit more of the dealerships that we are currently in?

Sure, you're going to be able to find this at Camping World, great American RV. The list goes on and on. We're well over. I mean Camping World has over 200 locations, so probably at least 1,000 locations.

Okay. So if somebody goes online, they can also find the locations if they don't want to have it shipped, because I think people need to get this product now, even if it just saves the $1,300, like we did on burning out four tires a blowout that's even bigger, and we're going to talk a little bit more about blowouts and how important this is right after this. Right now, we're going to talk about the abroad fuel car terse.

Now there goes the bagpipes right on cue. What happens is, as I'm driving down, we're driving in the. I'm not driving the RV, I'm sitting in the passenger seat of the RV. I get my open roads out to find a truck stop and I know exactly how much money I am going to save on fuel. And that's what is so great about this car.

So, patty, let's do a little role playing here. You say to me there's a gas station up the road and we can save 25 cents. And then what do you say? But if you can get to the next stage?

Speaker 3: 22:13

Yes, yes. So sometimes it's a matter of going to another state. You guys are from the East Coast, some of our people in the audience. Sometimes you can get through three states and then a couple hours, well, that next state over. They save us another five or 10 cents. We've got a hundred gallon fuel tank. That's a big deal. So, yes, I do that sometimes. So if you like saving money, you can't afford not to have the open roads fuel card.

Now those sounds that you hear in the background. There's actually a real live one man band walking by right now and making all those funny sounds. The beauty of being live. That's not me doing that in my little button. Yes, usually do all kinds of funny sounds, but the open road fuel card. It's free and you just set it up with your bank account to pay for the fuel. Yeah, I told our listeners that we have to. So, dan and I don't like to talk about negative, but sometimes you got to get into the dirt of things. A blowout on a car or a tire failure I mean, people die from this, let's just get real. So can you guys talk about how dangerous and how a tire mind your kid helped avoid these catastrophic type situations.

So let me start talking about what it can't do. What it can't do is tell you that your tire is five to 10 years old. What it can't do is check your, the wear on your tire, your balding. The rest of it is what tire minor is for checking your tire pressure. And again, whether it's low or high, you know, over inflation and under inflation are one of the leading causes of a blowout and accident.

Oh, I did not know that. So if you over plate or under plate, that is the major cause of a blowout.

Speaker 1: 24:21

That's why, every single time, every, every, every single time you get in your RV and you start out on a trip, you should walk around and look at the tire pressure on your tire.

Yeah, you don't have to walk around though. Right, you got your little bonnet or your hand.

Speaker 1: 24:37

Correct and regardless of which tire minor system you have, whether it's on your phone or the dedicated monitor you can see that right there and you're no longer kicking your tires.

No, you're kicking your tires.

Speaker 1: 24:49

Yeah Well, we. We actually have a system on our RV that it's on the valve stem and it's either goes green or it's yellow or it's red.

Speaker 3: 24:59

Not a great system, and I just walk by and look at them.

Speaker 1: 25:01

I don't pick the tire anymore.

Speaker 3: 25:03

But not a great system, not a great system.

Speaker 1: 25:06

But Jamie, here I mean she. She made fun of me and laughed at me cause I had. She said oh yeah, everybody use those in the thirties.

Speaker 3: 25:14

Wow, yeah, and it's true. And again, this is something that's very important. So you know, for those people driving on five year old, 10 year old tires, at least now going down the road they know if the pressure is not where it should be. So you said, drive around five to 10 year old tires, but at least you know, yeah, it's not just only important for RVers, it's important for everybody on the road.

As a mother that has a 19 year old who's also out on that road, I want to know as an RVer, you've taken the responsibility of what your tire is supposed to be at, so your tire is not laying out in my 19 year old daughter. That's a huge thing just for everyday person on the road, so it's a huge thing for all people.

And that's a great point, because when a tire blowout or tire issue happens, it isn't just affecting the people of the RV, it's, and we've seen, unfortunately, dan and I have seen video on it this stuff happens and, as we said, 20%, about 20% of the issues on the road are caused by tire pressure. Now, this tire pressure monitor, give us a gauge, each idea of different types of monitoring systems, from tire minder, give us a gauge of the cost of these. Let's start cost.

So our tire minder system, the I-10 or Smart TPMS, for about a four tire system, which would be your typical travel trailer, big wheel, et cetera, that's going to start at $279. And then, depending on how many sensors you need relating to the wheels, it's just going to go up from there With about a base price. You're going to be right under $1,000 if you had about, let's say, 14 sensors, and 14 sensors is going to be pretty rare, that's going to be if you had a tag axle and then you're pulling a. Oh, what is it?

The specifically one of those ATCs, the huge one that they've got the garage. So with all of that you can do 14 tires. Now, all of our systems do go up to 22, but 14 is about the max that we see. Right, what do we have? We have 10, right, we have 10. We have 10 tires, right. So so I'm not the biggest but I'm still like up in the top Right.

So if you're spending somewhere between $500,000 just on our tires alone, you'd still be ahead of the game, let alone the aggravation in the three hours to go have the tires put on. Then there was something wrong so we had to go back because they didn't put the caps or something on. Okay, so definitely a financial. You know something that is definitely going to pay out and not only save on tires but potentially people's. You know people's lives. I mean we've got to talk about the real life. You know what could really happen into your point KMI, I, dan and I had five kids, so or married nine kids and nine great kids, and you know it's what you're doing that could affect them. That's very important. Okay, so let's say now people have their tire minder all set up, they have the system all set up, they've been properly working. What do? What should people now look for? Am I just looking at that Monitoring system? Do I need to check the tires? What do I need to look for?

So on the display it's going. So it does check Constantly for an issue and if an issue comes up, it'll let you know on the top of the display whether that's again the low pressure or etc. Now the nice thing if you choose to do an app, if you're connected to audio or using Apple CarPlay or an Android app, it will tell you using AI voice high temperature, low pressure. So that way you don't have to look for anything.

Okay, so the voice is actually talking to me exactly okay. So if somebody's driving in their heartbeat by themselves now at the end has a great co-pilot.

That's me. Wait, wait. You have to be driving the R&B board to be talking to you.

Speaker 3: 29:25

You've got a good Talking to you. I'm just saying you have a great co-pilot, so you don't usually worry about those things, but if you were by yourself, this is going to talk to you and tell you what to do instead of me. So that's, that's a great thing. And again I'm going to say you know, I like to ask questions that my listeners would ask, and the whole idea is catching these things ahead of time. So now let's talk for a minute and I think I asked this of you, team me, when we originally talk my teeth Wrangler it wore the tires on the outside because we just dragged them for God knows how many miles. What the tire minder pressure monitoring system that's about full have helped in that case.

Speaker 4: 30:14

Wrong, but this would have started catching Temperature, the internal temperature, as you're driving along and your tires are starting to heat up. So, yes, it would have flagged you saying there's a temperature issue, made that necessarily caught the yes, I already have that and thought out the temperature that up you basically heating up your tires would have been caught.

Speaker 1: 30:34

Absolutely, jamie. So we measure the ambient air temperature. So the temperature really doesn't have anything to with the rubber. The rubber on your wheels is one thing, but it it won't. Let us know as tire minder. Okay, this could be a bad tire, but what will happen is, if there is a break issue, metal Will heat up much faster than rubber will. So with with that issue, you're gonna get all that friction happening and then that friction will cause that heat. So any temperature above a hundred and seventy six degrees Fahrenheit it's gonna start, and I can tell you clearly that that drag Of the tow car was well above a hundred seventy six degrees Fahrenheit. It was over a year ago for poor Tampa last year, and I still have blisters on my hands from touching those tires.

You should touch the tires that something else to learn, but yes, and and again, these things then happening. One in RV Can be so much worse, or RV as people know that, listen to us 40 foot 40,000. You know you just don't want to mess with this and this is why we want to have you guys are to talk about the importance of you know tire Monitoring and I love tire minder. Well, you know, to add on what happened to your RV the tow. We get that call constantly, at least every month, if not every week. And because it's a diesel, correct? Yes, yes, you know, there is a lot of torque. You can't feel it. It's even if the wheels are not spinning you don't feel it.

I'm driving down the road, that thing where it was just pulling that jeep and I couldn't even feel it. Now, and somebody on you have almost the exact same unit that we have, and I mean in that, true that things got power out there right Lots of words are in the torque behind it.

You just can't. You know, people ask me all the time About what's it like towing a vehicle behind your RV. All the time I don't even know back there. Most of the time you don't even feel it back there, absolutely yeah, but you don't feel it. And unless a good Samaritan comes and says, well, I'm seeing sparks, you know, I'm sure we've all seen someone flagging someone down and thank God, because Otherwise that's how fires get started. That's how there were fires started from that same scenario in California, when all the fires were happening. That's that's what happens, and because it's got all these fires going all around the road and it's bad, things can happen.

Wow. And so you're saying once a month, sometimes once a week, people with this doing the same thing, you'd be surprised at the calls we get I. Don't feel so stupid now, actually.

It's sometimes tough because you know we felt like idiots when it happened. And then you ride into a you know a tire place and you're getting four tires replaced and it's not money you want to have to put out. It's like you know a dumb mistake, but we had a suck, our pride in and we did a video on it. People could check that out on Exploring through our lens, because we've wanted people not to make that same mistake.

Yes, but that's what it's all about. Right, getting that information. What other questions you can ask a lot about tire mind or that you'd like to?

share. So one of the big questions is if you, let's say, you leave it in storage, do you have to program it? The answer is no. The sensors, as long as they remain you know, the one that was on the passenger front remains in the passenger front you can take them off and put the tire mind your system in Storage and put it back on. That's probably the number one question. It needs to be reprogrammed when you get to use it again and those you know for your part-timer RVs. Otherwise, the Probably the next best question would be does the tire mind your signal booster need to be installed?

So back in 2013, all tire mind or kits came With a signal booster. The reason for that and it actually, you know, coincides with the release of the, like the tablet, the generation of. Now we've got the iPad, we've got the several different Android tablets and with that, the real push for smartphone. Everything became wireless. So the more things are wireless, the more signal interference there's gonna be, and so the sensors themselves. We make sure that the sensor, without the signal booster, can go 200 feet, but that is open range. So with the signal booster, we can ensure that this safety system, you always get the signal from this safety system.

Okay, so nobody has to worry about it. And you said that the connection I'm not saying it probably right to the battery it's so minimal, the battery's not gonna be affected by it.

Exactly, so you could leave that on. It's only draining most of the time. 14 milliamps and that's milli, so it's not nothing at all, not a problem, I can still run my cappuccino machine, not worry about it.

So we started talking about that and I said you know what? The best person in the entire world to talk to is just about a half a mile this place is huge To walk from one place to the other, miles to walk from one place to the other. But we texted Angie and Angie Morel from NIRVC came over and talked to you and gave you some advice and whatever it took, I just think that NIRVC, if I and I'm Dan, if Dan and Patty are gonna buy an RV, we're gonna buy an RV.

I mean, it's just there is no reason why you wouldn't be events that they put on. And I'm gonna tell another story. I told the story a couple of weeks ago but I don't tell another story. There's a guy we were at Margaritaville and there's a guy and his wife and they were driving down the street and they saw that we had this great big RV covered up with a raft and we had flags and we had lights and all kinds of stuff going on. So they came in. Turns out that they're traveling there from Canada, not like down the street, they're from Canada in Florida I don't know what's that name of that city that we were in in Florida Auburn Dale, auburn Dale, florida At the Camp Margaritaville Not a sponsored bar, but we may as well give a plug or two. Anyway, they came in and they met.

We were at an AIM rally that's all inclusive motor home rally and that is sponsored by NIRVC. It's a club that NIRVC set up for its customers. These people thought that those people, that AIM and NIRVC, were so incredible. They walked in, they met a bunch of people they treated like they were family, guess what. They joined the AIM club and stayed and had dinner with us, and then, on top of that, they even bought a cruise or something. You took your wife on a cruise because of that right. Are you taking me? You're going to take her.

I mean, angie comes over to talk to you two and look at this, she's holding court out there with the executives of Freightliner and talking to customers trying to telling them why the Freightliner chassis is the best chassis in the industry.

So one of the things is a lot of people comment on why aren't the OEMs manufacturing with them, and that is what I am actually out doing. It's talking to the OEMs and trying to find out what it takes for us, a company that somewhere already knows and loves, and put it to be installed at the manufacturing level. I'm looking at getting them installed at the set, at the thousand themselves, and so that this is something that should be already standardized, but it's not and it's gonna become something that I'm your future will start seeing, and I'm gonna be out there on the consumer side trying to push these OEMs to manufacture with our product.

That's great, yeah, because when you talk about safety issues, they've added 360 cameras, backup of this and that. So many different safety issues. This sounds like a big one. So, those manufacturers that are out there and listening to the RV Life Podcast, we need to talk about getting tireminder on at the factory when the chassis is being created. Yes, that's great.

My name is Ken. I'm here with my wife, Ellen, and we're enjoying this incredible show and incredible event, and we're from Pondabee to Beach, Florida. We are part-timers and we like, we are class A. So my question for the group would be if I'm driving down the road and my tire pressure monitoring system shows that one of my tires is hot, what is the first thing I should be looking for?

So if you're traveling down the road and one of our system states high temperatures, the first thing you're gonna wanna do is get to a safe spot. I know, don't just stop and you're late, just like the button set says stop. So I stopped. So, dan, you joke. I said we get a lot of calls. But so you wanna find a safe spot to pull over. And once you are safe and out of the way, take an infrared gauge. Do not touch the tire. I think they're hot. They are hot. So with an infrared gauge you're going to be able to point it at the position and find where it's getting hot. So once you know what's going on, you can identify and hopefully correct the issue. If you can't correct the issue, get someone who can out there for roadside assistance.

Very good, okay, so things we've learned. Move to a safe spot, because chances are, if the system is just starting to show an issue, it's not like it's going to blow up.

Okay, I want to emphasize this for our people I'm going to go in for the map Emphasize a safe spot because a lot of times a lot of the roads that are out there now, if you just pull off to the side you may think that is a safe spot, but it is not a safe spot If you go off the edge, real easy. You don't want to go off that passenger side edge because you get too close to the edge and the gravel breaks down and it's just not safe, a whole other problem.

Yeah, so make sure that you get off to a safe spot for that vehicle. Yeah, can I have my coat danced up that there? No, absolutely. They don't pack the ground all the way, especially if you're a class A 10s of 1000s of pounds.

It's not safe if you're going to drive to an issue, so make sure you're in that pullover area or an area that'll take your RV.

In the United States it's not as much of a problem as it is in Canada, Okay.

There we have it. The people who are far into our city in the audience to see how it goes after. But again, to emphasize, when they first see that there may be an issue, they can even maybe go a couple of miles to pull into a gas station.

So if you start to see your temperatures reach 200 or more, it is a little bit more dire, but there should be. There's so many trucks on the road there's going to be spots that pull over. Is that the number 200?

200. 200 Fahrenheit.

Yeah, 200 is where I've got to do something. When I say this is 200 or more, you'll get notified before that, right. But if it starts getting up there, so when you're driving on the road in Arizona, florida, et cetera, where it's hot out 150 degrees is perfectly fine, right. But when you get to that point where it's hot 200, just pretend that's a police car with this red light and sirens behind you Exactly At that point.

So the tire minder is going to be going beep, beep, beep, beep, but again it's really paying attention and not saying oh, I have time. It's paying attention, dealing with it, but being safe.

And in addition to that safety, nothing is more safe than traveling with a co-pilot, because then the co-pilot can monitor it. Co-what Co-pilot. B he's talking about B, that would be co-person sitting in the big fluffy seat next to me with her feet up.

The co princess, so with someone else in the RV with you and being able to look at that. So because the for you definitely don't want to put all of your attention into anything besides the road, right.

This is a program that is incredible and every time I talk to people about it, they are wowed. So you know the total transponders that you have in your window. Wow, dan and I had an easy pass, and that easy pass only covers certain states. Right, it now started covering Florida, although it didn't for a while back. Forget that, forget the sun pass, forget the easy pass. This tool pass Open roads in a vein of tolling. 48 states, all 48 continuous states. So this is what they were calling the R&D industry's best kept secret. That we don't want to keep the secret anymore.

And the best part is their crunching your service. If you should happen you know it happens to all of us the tolls. We take them down off the window for one reason or another, we leave it in the drawer where it's not supposed to be and you end up getting a ticket. So you get a violation, not a ticket, a violation that you're going through the toll. Well, if you get a violation, whether it's their fault or your fault, the conch years program will deal with the mechanics of that ticket. You still gotta pay the fine, but they're gonna take that off your credit card. But they will call what you're that state you got the violation from. You're not gonna pay the fine, you're gonna pay just the toll. Okay, I just want to be clear, okay, so it just amazes me. People walk through this place with guitars and trumpets and playing music. Yes, yes, but why?

So another great feature with that tirebinder, not only are we monitoring your tires for you, but what happens if you're off the road and you're somewhere where there's not air available? We have our tire air compressor and that's what Dan's about to get about, and it's something that we find also very important to have on your coach, because if you go somewhere where there's no air available to actually air up an RV tire, what do you do when you have no air? If you have a flat, you can't do it. Our air compressor goes up to 150 PSIs, so I mean, what is something that you'd rather have is no air available and have to call somebody or assist somebody in place.
